Mastercraft 18V Cordless Drill Battery Chargers
Hazard: The recalled battery chargers can overheat, posing a fire and burn hazard to consumers.
There have been incidents where damage to the charger and/or minor property damage occurred, with no reported injuries.
This recall involves 3-hour Mastercraft 18V battery chargers for cordless drills. The recalled charger can be identified by model number 54-2973-4, and comes in a drill kit or a combo kit (model number 54-2772-2).
The recalled chargers are black. The word "Mastercraft" is on the front of the charging stand and "18v" is on the charging stand at the bottom of the receptacle for the battery stem.
This recall does not include the 1-hour version of the Mastercraft battery chargers.
Approximately 75,000 of the recalled chargers were sold at Canadian Tire stores.
Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled battery chargers and contact Techtronic Industries for instructions on getting a free replacement charger.

Dublin Energy Solution Roman Shades
Hazard: Strangulation can occur when a child places his/her neck between the exposed inner cord and the fabric on the backside of the blind or when a child pulls the cord out and wraps it around his/her neck.
In the United States, there have been two reports of children becoming entangled in the exposed inner cord on the back of the shade, with no reported permanent injuries.
Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of these products.
This recall includes all sizes and colours of Dublin Energy Solution Roman Shades made by Louis Hornick & Company. The roman shades have exposed cords on their backsides and are sold in the following colours: navy, chocolate, khaki and cream.
Dublin Roman Shades that were sold at Bed, Bath & Beyond Retail Stores had a width between 58 centimetres (23 inches) and 122 centimetres (48 inches) and a length of 163 centimetres (64 inches). They can also be identified by UPC numbers ranging from 029978013201 to 029978021664.
Dublin Roman Shades that were sold by Bed, Bath & Beyond through special order and through their website had a width between 26 centimetres (18 inches) and 183 centimetres (72 inches) and a length of 163 centimetres (64 inches). They can also be identified by UPC numbers ranging from 29978900419 to 29978902277.
There is also an orange, black, and white warning label (in English and Spanish) on the back of the head rail.
Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Roman shades and contact Louis Hornick & Company to receive a free repair kit.
The repair kit involves removing the cords and attaching devices to manually raise and lower the shade. Consumers may also remove the cords without attaching the devices. However, the product will be inoperable and remain in the lowered position.

"Magnetic Locker Gear" Sets of Magnets

Sets of Magnets Recalled
Hazard: Health Canada's sampling and evaluation program has revealed that the paint on the horseshoe-shaped magnets contains lead in excess of the allowable limit. Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health effects.
Merangue International Limited is voluntarily extending the recall to include the bolt-shaped magnets.
The recalled magnets can be identified by model number 1018-7941-00-000 and UPC 068488044077, which is printed on the product packaging.
Remedy: Consumers should immediately dispose of the recalled magnets and contact Merangue International Limited to receive a replacement style at no charge.

Frog-themed Earrings by Ardene
Hazard: Health Canada's sampling and evaluation program has revealed that these pieces of jewellery contain lead in excess of the allowable limit. Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health effects.
This recall involves a set of 3 pairs of earrings by Ardène. The earrings are frog-themed, with a pair of green gem studs, a pair of green frog studs, and a pair of dangle earrings with green crowned frogs. The earrings are sold on a plastic backing that has UPC 14106596 and model number EAR3968.
Remedy: Consumers should immediately take the recalled pieces of jewellery away from children and dispose of them as per Municipal Hazardous Waste Guidelines. Consumers can contact their municipality for instructions on disposing products that contain lead.

Hazard:
The knife can fail to lock into its open position, posing a cutting hazard to consumers.This recall involves 5.11 Tactical® folding knives with style number 51041019. The knife has a black handle with a pocket clip and are approximately 13 centimetres (5 inches) in length when closed and 20 centimetres (7 ¾ inches) in length when the blade is open.
The recalled products were distributed as free promotional items from September 2009 to November 2009.
